Hi guys, pulling my hair out with this! So i seem to have managed to GET a matched username and password (http). I’m not sure what to do with it? I’ve tried to http connect with credentials found but I’m stuck in a black hole. Reading a lot about x-pi-hole? Any pointer please guys? Thank you in advance.
Ok guys, so i was barking up the wrong tree! I’ve managed to own the user but I am really struggling with root. I can see 2x hard drives and usb stick. I can access 1 hard drive but cannot locate root.txt. I’ve read about using ‘string’, tried using this but not sure if i need the -print option and whether i need to run this command from within a particular directory/drive? I’ve tried string with root and it doesnt return any error but does not feed back anything. If I try string root.txt it reports back that no file found. Please help with any pointers that might nudge me to next stage. Thank you.
You are using the strings command incorrectly here.
If you can see all of the mounted drives, then you have all of the info you need to get the root flag.
You might want to consider that everything in Linux is a file. Also, everything you save leaves marks on the drive until being overridden.
I mounted all the drives but i didn’t find anything. Another hint please
Try to Read the deleted files using linux command in mentioned mounted drive
