Mirai - get the root hash - a hint is needed

Hello all,

Getting into Mirai wasn’t an issue, but the chasing of the root hash is bugging me. I’ve been trying to get native commands to work and “recover” what I’m looking for, but I have a feeling I’m not searching the right way. Should I be running the native commands searching for file name?

you are on the right way, remember that is a linux system.

EDIT I got it to work finally. Man, are HINT strings /HINT helpful.

This was awesome. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction. Your comment and some information I found from Get Your Data Back with Linux-Based Data Recovery Tools - Linux.com was all I needed.

you mean you have to use an extra tool to recover the deleted ? but you can’t install any tools by apt. actually I try working with grXX command but I get a unreadable text, if anyone can tell me if I lost the way or not, it will be helpfull

Nutellack, you don’t need anything that isn’t already accessible to you in linux. Is there a way in linux to view the printable characters from a file? Keep in mind, everything in linux is a file!
