I’m doing the Responder machine and I’m noticing that the majority of the ports shown in the walkthrough are missing.

I am completely new to ethical hacking and confused on what’s going on.
For the same problem in the future: This works for me … The server is using name-based Virtual Hosting for manage the request of the page, as the writeup says, you should manage and add the host to the /etc/host locally … basically, the server is not using DNS server and you need to specify the host and the domain name in your own /etc/host.
