Depends on what are you looking to be because there are:
6 different types of hackers, from black hat to red hat | TechTarget.
If you want to risk being in prison or even your life you could get some dark side hacking knowledge on deep or dark web. But for anything else HTB in my opinion has all you need to get a job and so on.

if you are pointing to knowledge that you can get on HTB than yes. There are also CTF’s apart from the machines so you can learn some pretty good stuff for when you come into real world
