I managed to almost complete the skill assessment of the module Hacking WordPress.
In the last question I managed to get the contents in the location /home/erika.
But for some reason the contents is not accepted as an answer.
The contents that I found is not a normal HTB flag form.
So I am guessing that maybe I need to decode the content.
If the content you found in /home/erika isn’t being accepted, you’re probably right that it needs some decoding.Check for hidden messages, sometimes the content might be encoded in base64 or another simple encoding. Try running it through a base64 decoder to see if anything useful comes up.Look for patterns, if it looks like gibberish, it might be in some kind of cipher. Tools like CyberChef can help with decoding various types of encoded data. Try to scan the content with an antivirus. I recently took a malware analysis course for beginners from Guided Hacking and there I learned that sometimes similar file problems can be related to viruses. Search for clues, sometimes, files contain hints or metadata that could point you in the right direction. Check for hidden files or comments within the files you found.
