The Password Attacks module questions are way too hard

I’m doing the Penetration Tester path and before that I did the Information Security Foundations path. Every module has a very consistent cadence. You read the section and sometimes you get questions, sometimes you don’t. The questions are usually easy and sometimes take a bit of time to solve, but you just keep marching onward.

The Password Attacks module is very, very different. Most of the sections have questions, often a bunch of questions. And most of those questions are hard. Many of them are very, very hard. Anyone just learning should set aside 2-4+ hours per section, for the questions. It took me nearly two weeks FULL TIME to finish that module.

And it’s not even as if I benefited a lot from that. The questions are hard in ways where you’re just working to work. You aren’t actually practicing or figuring out much for most of that time. You are deliberately sent on these sweat missions where you are burning your time just because. (Example: having to wait several hours for a brute force password crack)

It’s not just me. I saw the same sentiment filling the threads on the questions.

After finishing the module I was burned out and I haven’t really been doing much lately. I see this website and read new sections and get to the questions, and I’m just jaded. I’m annoyed. I don’t want to have to put up with more of that. I will keep going but I imagine some people just quit. Is that what HTB is trying to incentivize?

I would strongly suggest making those questions easier. In line with other modules.
