I tried the payloads found in reversehell or metasploit table to host1 computer but I could not reach
LHOST 172.16.1.5 using footnote . I have searched most of the forums but have not found any useful information

Are you setting the “LHOST” option using the IP of the HTB VPN?

  1. ifconfig
  2. interface > tun0

Just to piggyback - and maybe I haven’t had enough coffee - but I would expect the LHOST to be a 10.x.x.x address.
