As others have said, this is a great example of an easy box.
Foothold: What are you being allowed to do? What version is running?
Privesc: No linpeas or linenum required. Just take a look around and read then abuse
Root: Classic privesc to root with a fun hax0r twist
Don’t be afraid to PM for hints but let me know where you are and what you’ve tried.

I am running into an issue where it won’t let me submit the user flag as it says incorrect flag…
I have gotten root.txt and submitted that flag just fine… Any ideas?

This is an ongoing issue with the rotating flags. @TazWake has an entire copypasta regarding it.
In short, change servers and retry.

Didn’t work for me. It gives me the same flag even tho i changed the server to US. (and reset)

Raise a jira ticket with HTB, they are the only people who can fix it.
same problem with my flag. It is not accepted.
hey guys, the flag isn’t accepted and i keep reseting the machine and getting new ip for it and it keeps telling me the flag isn’t right

After changing to U.S., did you regenerate your connection pack? Because this sounds more like you just connected to the same old server (that also failed to reset).

seems like there’s an actual issue with the flags for this box at the moment. a few people with VIP+ in the discord server can’t submit the flags either. Even after resetting/spawning a new instance.

If people aren’t raising jira tickets, it wont get fixed.

yea. i’ve told the people i’ve talked to to submit them, but who knows if they are.
