Starting point error

Hello… Fairly new to this whole world, but I am steadily learning headstrong. I am kind’a stuck and need a bit of help/insight on the starting point… so I managed to follow up to Enumeration. But following the steps there is giving me Error #487: Your port specifications are illegal.

FYI - I am using the ports from the example 10.10.10.27

The Starting Point example on nmap is a bit misleading IMHO.

The problem is likely to be down to the first nmap not returning ports cleanly. But you cant see this because its hidden.

Try

nmap -Pn -sC -sV -p- -vvvvvvv -T4 10.10.10.27

At least this way you can see if there are any error messages.

Thank you kind sir. I am not familiar with what happened… but it made it connect thousands of times… every second. Then I tried the old example and miraculously worked?

Again, thanks for your response. Feels like a fine community

Steps are given below-

On the Install Windows screen, select Next > Repair your computer.
On the Choose an option screen, select Troubleshoot.
On the Advanced options screen, select Startup Repair.
