was a bit a distraction/brain fuzzing moment on the token … anyway …
To me the initial foothold was pretty hard ( but is more a my thing i always struggle a bit whit at the begin)
also whit this machine got problem whit fuzzing a lot
user flag is tricky , root was a pice of cakce but pretty interesting …
Why I tried many times, but my token can’t be used to work？
Check the size of the token you use. The right size is 64 characters

HI everyone ! Anybody could give me a nudge for the last part of getting to user ?
This was definitely my favorite machine so far! Gave me lots of headaches but feels great to have finally solved it. The hints the others have provided so far are wonderful. Root felt more straightforward than getting user, though.

Finally rooted after basically 3 days straight! Thank you to everyone that helped out with user, there were a lot of new concepts for me and i loved learning about standing up all of the servers, I’d never done before.
Root was certainly easier than user for me, but still very interesting and realistic. The hint I’ll give for root is like everyone has been saying, move files around, consult the man pages and pay attention to permissions

Foothold is the struggle here. Finally, got in and got root earlier today. Learned a lot in the procees.
Wasted a day thinking I fixed the thing that needed fixed. When I hadn’t.
Little nudge:
Remember if you are updating records there may be more than one place or address that needs updated.
Bigger nudge:
Specifically don’t forget about ns subdomains.
You can always run another command with your key/hash and see if it actually updated.
I use ubuntu and install that program with pip , hit the same issue like yours. Do you find the solution? I wanna have some hint
