I can read files and found the secrets but unsure what to do with them. I read the disclosure but cant progress with it

Stumbled upon an article (from the man himself!) and used my secrets to generate. But when I curl I get nothing 
I don’t even know if I’m going the right way anymore as it seems way too involved.

Would someone be able to help me get a foothold. I’m stuck at the G***** page.
Am also stuck at G***** 502 page, is this “par for the course”, or an unintended problem with the machine?
All I can think off now while staring at the G***** Page is that we have to craft a payload manually.
