Im into the dessert part, but unsure about the language to use and if this is the root pass… Im trying almost everything and still cant root… any help?

NO GOOGLE won’t help, this is just a bad machine, I had to vpn to UK to find something remotely correlated

Root hint: unless you are European, you need to do some OSINT to figure out what the password says.
Great machine, liked it a lot. Got user yesterday and root today.
Best advice is: Don’t overcomplicate things. User flag is really simple once you calm down and think of your options.
Root was VERY interesting and fun (at least for me) and required a bit of Googlin’. It’s not a regular privesc machine.
Great work by the creator, i learned a lot, respect!

Wow I was so stupid. Just went back and checked for some more obvious things and found it right away. I guess I should have clued-in to the fact that the User blood only took 8 minutes.

Looking for something like “d” credentials
Finally pwned this box. The user part is pretty cool but the root part is not great in my opinion.
It does involve guessing and it’s not very logical, I lost hours and at the end of the day I didn’t learn anything new. Windows is not required for the root part, the same tool exist on Linux. MP me if you struggle to get root

I can’t get the user, I dont know if I am ignoring something but I tried bruteforcing and enumerating. I dont understand why the webpage says “To raise an IT support ticket, please visit tickets.keeper.htb/rt/”.
Hope someone can give me a hint.

Getting user was pretty easy, firstly at login you just need to do proper research on software and read through the documentations then from there you go on. What im stuck on right now is cracking the hash for the Keepass password? (Im also using the output from the dmp file) any hints? or am i thinking to hard? fml
