can someone help me crack the user password? i keep successfully cracking it with hashcat but when i go to ssh into the machine i get permission denied

Use john with rockyou.txt wordlist, the command: john hash.txt --wordlist=<path_of_rockyou>

Soooā€¦ after enumeration of everything domain I had nothing. Based on hints given I could guess what would be the first step. However I could not enumerate the correct access point unless i added it to my /etc/hosts/ file. I needed to know the answer to find the answer?

There is a way to find it with common tools & a technique youā€™ll find pretty common on HTB. Message me and Iā€™ll give you more details.

If anyone is struggling with finding file needed for privilege escalation I switched the VPN connection and it worked out!

cannot do anything on this machine ā€¦ 502 Bad Gateway 50% time or just a ā€˜finishedā€™ with Gobusterā€¦

It shouldnā€™t take that long. I used hashcat to crack it, but John should still knock it out pretty quickly.

tried switching the vpn multiple times but no luck with the file for priv esc.

When i put something in a thing inside the server(who understood have understood) it gives me 504 Gateway Time-out in all the server.
Can someone help?
