On NIX02 I found f*** password in the S* file but it doesn’t work (neither passwords work for either user).
I came across an old write up online which suggests that the password in that file should work, but the password in the file has changed since the write up was written. However, the password in the write up does still work and I have access to f**.
As f** I searched for the working password across the whole FS and found nothing so I’m now confused.
Is there a different, ‘correct’ way to do this box? Was this previously the correct way and has been changed?
I’d like to do the labs properly if possible but am stumped as to how to get f** any other way.
Thanks, what a noob. I thought I’d searched her profile the same as the other guy’s but obviously not. No wonder I didn’t find it from his profile, he doesn’t have permissions on her home directory. Weird that it’s been changed in his version but not hers. Maybe best to delete your post or at least mark it as spoiler though.
I’ve run into an issue and need some help. I’ve managed to gain control of the DC01 machine, but I’m unable to locate the IP address of the DC02 machine.
I’ve tried searching for information but haven’t found anything useful yet. Here’s what I’ve done so far:
ipconfig /all
route print
arp -a
netstat -ano
type C:\WINDOWS\System32\drivers\etc\hosts
Am I missing something or overlooking anything? If you have any additional suggestions, please feel free to let me know (you can reply here or DM me directly).
Thanks.
Hi, I am currently stuck on the Nix03 as well. i was not able to login despite having credentials. I even tried a variation of other users and passwords but could not get it to work whatsoever. Am I missing something here? Btw, thank you in advance if you end up replying.
Hi all,
I’ve got 26 flags over 27.
I’m stuck on the WS01 machine and am unable to bypass the UAC/AMSI.
Can someone give me some help or a hint?
Thank you very much.
I’ve hit a wall again, i’ve gained root on DC-01 and several other machines. I’m drawing a blank on the Snake it till you make it flag though. I have ssh-snake ready to use, but I could use a nudge please.
