Clone my Kali image to an ISO file

I have been using Kali Linux (as my main OS… not as a VM) for quite some time and have built up a nice image that consists of many files, tools, software, etc.
If I get a new PC, I dont want to have to transfer all of the files and download all of the tools again.

Is there a way to burn my current image to an ISO file and then boot my new PC or VM into that? That way I keep my current OS image?

I checked google but couldn’t find anything that seemed straight forward to me.

thank you

I’ld try to create a backup with a Linux live cd and restore it then.

i’ve never done that, but maybe have a look at dd command
