About Nmap full port scan

May I ask what is the proper way of doing a full port scan on HTB machines?

Some machines seem to need a full port scan, but when I do it, it takes forever. I am a very noob here. Can someone tell me what is the proper way to do it? I’ve tried -sT -sS with -nvv.
