First box i hacked. I really liked the experience. Getting user account was a little bit harder than root imo. I really enjoyed the way to get root. Very basic but interesting commands. I learned a lot!
could not privsec with v* always getting “no tty present and no askpass program specified”… feel frustrated…
User is pretty straight forward. A lot of people are saying the root flag is easier but I didn’t find it to be so. Keep in mind that hacking is using common tools in uncommon ways! Hit me up for a nudge. Thanks to @extincted for all the help.
Getting [Invalid User Name or Password], was working fine for the past 3 days…anyone know the source of error?

@th3location - check what kind of shell you have right now. Fix this first before moving to the step you are on.
Question to more experienced people: I’ve been able to read the content of root.txt but i just used a command line. Is that the way we’re supposed to do it?
Can someone PM me with a nudge in the right direction? I’m trying to gain admin access on the site. I found the correct exploit, ran the exploit successfully, went to the correct link to enter the newly created credentials, only to get an error saying “invalid username or password” 
I don’t know what has changed on the machine but now unable to get command execution after following the same procedure that got me shell previously. Reset the machine multiple times.

Never mind was just being dumb
Finally got user thanks to some pointers from @1uffyD9
Working on getting a full TTY shell now somehow.
Also, VIP is a dream for this box. I got so frustrated with the constant resets I bought a month’s worth and since this haven’t had a single reset or 503, going on 3 days now.
Worth every penny.
