SolidState flags are incorrect?

Hi there,
I know that this box is quite old but I’ve captured both flags and cannot submit them because of
“Error - flag is invalid” message from HTB interface.

Anyone had this kind of problem?

If it is a dynamic flag then it is a fairly common issue on HTB. It normally means the new flag hasn’t been properly registered since the system was spawned or someone has managed to reset the box before you submitted the flags.

Your choice are:

  • reset the box, wait a few minutes, re-pwn, get new flags, submit them instead of the old ones you have.
  • raise a ticket with HTB to see if there is a problem they need fixing.
