I’m new here and I’m struck near “smbclient” its showing “do_connect: Connection to 10.10.10.27 failed (Error NT_STATUS_IO_TIMEOUT)” error. Can anyone plz help me!
What’s 10.10.10.27 ? This IP does not even reply to ICMP. Are you sure it’s the correct IP? What machine are you working on?
its from the tutorial nstructions i’ve followed after creating the A/C. It will be there in Starting Point
Well, the host seems to be down right know. Maybe it’s just temporary or maybe we should as HTB staff.
If it is starting point, it is only available to people on the starting point VPN.
@SRIKARNRK can you ping the box? Does NMAP show open ports?

If I ping its sending and receiving data but showing UNAVAILABLE. And Nmap nope its not showing any open port for me.
Its showing like this if I do Nmap :-
Starting Nmap 7.80 ( https://nmap.org ) at 2020-08-27 11:36 EDT
Note: Host seems down. If it is really up, but blocking our ping probes, try -Pn
Nmap done: 1 IP address (0 hosts up) scanned in 4.33 seconds
and If I ping the result will be
PING 10.10.10.27 (10.10.10.27) 56(84) bytes of data.
From 10.10.14.1 icmp_seq=1 Destination Host Unreachable
From 10.10.14.1 icmp_seq=2 Destination Host Unreachable
From 10.10.14.1 icmp_seq=3 Destination Host Unreachable

So SMBClient isn’t your issue. The device isn’t reachable.
Check your VPN connection.
o enable the SMB1 share protocol, perform the following steps :
Click and open the Search Bar in Windows 10.
Scroll down to SMB 1.0/CIFS File Sharing Support.
Check the box net to SMB 1.0/CIFS File Sharing Support and all other child boxes will auto populate.
Click Restart Now to reboot the computer.
