I’m doing the devvortex machine and i’m having some issues whit the subdomain, because i can connect whit the /robots.txt but can’t connect whit the html page of the subdomain. (i get 504 Gateway Time-out when i try to connect to the subdomain)
If i understand your problem, maybe you forgot to add the subdomain in /etc/hosts file to resolve names. Did you already did it?

i added (10.10.11.242 devvortex.htb dev.devvortex.htb)
