From what i understand, rhodes is just the dns part and only gives info to hades… but how am i supposed to jump to hades since it is on a different thingy?

i will give you another hint. this machine is really cool and fun.
before you ask for hints be sure that you have tried everything and looked into everything.
the way it is created almost guides you to the solution. dont be greedy and have fun with it
After enumerating DNS (Rhodes) I feel on F1re after finding something which looks like username and password, however I am still unable to open the portal to Hades. Tried to use the data everywhere and in every combination I know of, but I have the feeling I still miss a crucial part of the puzzle… Any hints without spoiling the challenge?
I was stuck on Crete for a while but managed to do something to get access. I’m not convinced I’m in the right place though. Is anyone able to talk with me via PM so I can clarify I’m in the right direction?
I’m really not getting what to do after cracking this file. Maybe it’s just my inexperience with DNS, but even after googling information I’m not getting anywhere. I understand I need to use DNS to find something, just not sure how I can do so.

hmm… there are a few numbers in brackets before that, ill tell you this much, they are restricted ports. a technique required could maybe be port kn****ng… and you may be right on the username password thing 
Thanks for the hint. I already figured it out. Even though I think Olympus is a great box, I would have wished some kind of hint in the DNS entry which would have led me to the technique you described. I just haven’t tought about it and lost quite some time. As soon as I know what it was, I was done in a minute… Anyways, was a fun box
I’ve been playing for a while with DNS after getting the 2 pieces of info from the cap. However, I got nothing. Is it playing with that info enough or I need some kind of guessing in order to get what I need to talk with port 53?

Rooted yesterday. Good box. Little bit confusing at times, but really good.
Just fyi, the initial entry point will not work for people that live far away from the EU servers (or even US). Initially, I had to use another rooted machine to run an exploit for the entry and that got annoying so I purchased VIP and tried the US servers (200ms still doesn’t work) so I ended up just using my DigitalOcean VPS located in the US and ran the exploit from there and it worked fine.
