Root is not “easy”, I would say “not too easy”, but it is pretty fun.
User is awful, completely wrong approach from my point of view. You will 100% get mad.
Hints:
- go easy on root, don’t forget the basics
- cry on user

I can add that root privesc should’ve been the foothold and user’s pain should have been put in root privesc, that would have been fair
but guess life ain’t fair !

The foothold was really obscure for an easy machine. A hint would have been appropriate. The exploit itself was interesting tho
