Lab Training for CBBH / CPTS

Hello,
As in the title looking for some specific Machine / Labs to train on for these certifications (Course is very good but real-practice training is better)
Can you please specify for which certifications you advise which labs

Thanks !

I was also curious about that, and when I didn’t see anything in the forums here, I asked AI about it. This was the answer I got:

1 - Short Version: The Ippsec unofficial CPTS playlist

2 - Long Version: No specific boxes since it’s more about enumeration than get root and get out.

Based on the information provided in the search results, there are a few key points to consider regarding specific HackTheBox machines for CPTS exam preparation:

  1. The CPTS exam is not directly comparable to individual HackTheBox machines. The exam involves multiple boxes in an internal network, requiring pivoting and post-exploitation, which is different from standalone HTB boxes
  • .
  • Many experienced CPTS exam takers advise against focusing too much on individual HTB boxes if you already have sufficient CTF experience. The boxes on the main platform weren’t designed to be fully compatible with the CPTS exam scope
  • .
  • If you lack CTF experience, doing some HTB boxes can be beneficial. In this case, it’s recommended to try easy to medium difficulty Linux or Windows boxes, about one per module in the CPTS path
  • .
  • Instead of specific boxes, it’s highly recommended to focus on:
  • Completing the entire CPTS track in the HTB Academy, which is mandatory for taking the exam
  • .
  • Practicing the “Attacking Enterprise Networks” module at the end of the CPTS path, which provides a practice exam environment* .
  • Considering one or two Pro Labs like Dante or Zephyr for additional practice* * .
  • If you still want to practice with some HTB boxes, you can refer to:
  • IppSec’s Unofficial CPTS Playlist, which contains a selection of machines relevant to CPTS preparation
  • .
  • The machines recommended at the end of each module in the CPTS track for practicing specific concepts
    • .

Remember that the key to CPTS success lies more in developing a thorough methodology for enumeration, post-exploitation, and pivoting rather than mastering individual boxes.

^ That’s the answer I got from Perplexity, not my own writing.
