Information gathering - web edition - web archives & wayback machine down

Hello,

I am currently following the CPTS path. I am now at the Information Gathering - Web Edition module.
In the Web Archives section, all of the questions require to use the wayback machine.
Unfortunately wayback machine is down due to a very recent cyber attack : https://www.forbes.com/sites/daveywinder/2024/10/10/internet-hacked-wayback-machine-down-31-million-passwords-stolen/

There is not any communication on how long the website will be unavailable.
This module also does not show the answers when we click on “show solution”. It is therefore impossible to complete this module.

Is it something HTB is aware of ?
Is it possible to obtain the answers, by way of exception, since this is public data?

Unfortunately, we can’t anticipate a website being attacked or being down for long periods of time. I’d recommend waiting for the Internet Archives to stop being attacked and do this properly without obtaining the answers via exception or public data.

I’ll pass your feedback along though.

You can use https://archive.ph/ in the mean time while Wayback machine is down.

So if you wanted to look up the history of Facebook for example: https://archive.ph/https://www.facebook.com/
