How much do certifications usually cost?

I was reading an article about getting a job in cyber security and it mentions certifications. How much do they usually cost? Have you taken any? If so how much did the ones you take cost?

It depends on the circumstances currently OffSec certificates are trending in the market and it impress HR too. Hence the price of those is way ■■■■ high. On the contrast if you just targeting the knowledge and money is a issue then go for HTB certs such as CPTS and CBBH they are worth every penny. But remind they are very new to the market and you can’t impress the HR with one of these

Getting a job does not rely on certifications according to my experience, you can solve labs in htb’s or port swigger ot thm and post them on your linked in and can show your interest towards cyber security. It’s not basically about the certifications, it’s about what you know and how can you prove that you know something to the recruiters.
If you want to do a certification, there is one interesting factor to consider i.e., geographical location (in whic country you are living or want to get a job). For example, in UK they value CPSA as a beginners certificate for junior level roles more and in USA they won’t consider CPSA as certification, they prefer people with OSCP for junior level roles too. As per my knowledge CPSA costs you around 335 GBP (including tax) and OSCP around 1000 pounds.
