Academy HTB - Intro to network traffic analysis

Hi everyone
In the " Networking Primer - Layers 1-4" there is a question “What addressing mechanism is used at the Link Layer of the TCP/IP model?”. I feel pretty sure that it uses the MAC, but that doesn’t seem to be the correct answer.
I got the rest and I’m unsure if it is a format issue.

Anyone?

You are correct, but you are missing something from it. Search the Networking Primer - Layers 1-4 module.

Thanks. It’s incredible that 15mins was needed to find a missing hyphen :sob:

I was pretty sure with my answer also. The proper format took a while

Yep, this annoyed me.

Without giving the answer the format is C-a***s hyphen included. lower case for the second half

I feel a lot of the answers are too dependent on a specific ‘format’ of text when it is not required. Within the same module they use MAC and Mac with and without hyphens, Address, address etc… I have not rejected a technical document because of those uses however will ask an author to stick to one type throughout the document.

I feel that HTB should allow be able to allow for reasonable variations in answers such as this.

Same for me here, I can add tho to make sure its not a plural based so make sure there is no -ing in the answer and hoping people get it :+1:
