I don’t know if I am missing something, but when I run the ‘id’ command on the php reverse shell for user ‘robert’ it shows that he is not in the bugtracker group. Therefore, I am not able to run the bugtracker file in ‘/usr/bin’… Moreover, the command shows that robert is instead in the root group, but when I try to access the ‘/root’ file using this ‘sg root cd /root’ command it says that permission is denied! I thank you in advance for your time answering this and excuse me if the anwer is obvious, because I am new to this stuff.

I haven’t done this box so I don’t know the specifics.
Checking the write up, it says the account should be part of the bugtracker group, so its likely something is broken or someone has messed up the box.
I’d suggest going for a reset or raise a JIRA ticket.
