I could use the password to access the boxā¦ However after a reset. I cannot seem to be authenticated anymore. Is anyone facing the same thing?

someone keeps messing with the box. the port number for the āsuspicious serviceā keeps changing. sometimes theres only one port available for that service, other times there are two or three.
i finally got root tonight. trying the same exact thing ive been trying for days, only this time i went in right after a reset. port wasnt what it usually is which i think helped keep it from being bombarded with incorrect requests. no more ātoo many triesā errors.
also ran into āa ghostāā¦which one of yall was it
got user in 30 min and root in 2 daysā¦what kill us is our thoughtsā¦ very easy machineā¦ user is just laying there ready to be picked up and for root there is a way of using a particular tool

Hi there community. Please forgive this silly question of mine butā¦ I scanned poison yesterday and found some ports listening. Among them a three letters service that seems promising. And today, after basic research on how to attack that service, I scan again and the service is not there anymore. Is this ānormalā or am I extremely lucky?

I experienced that too. I saw that while the service is not available, someone rooted the box. So i am guessing that we need to do something before we can use that service . Just a huge guess. I am stuck and i am on day 2 too 
i keep getting the āgrey screenā when connectingā¦ donāt see too much on that here. Is it syntax or do I need to set a variable? or something else? I feel like a good solid hint on this problem would not only help me but others just getting on this box
i have everything right EXCEPT the displayā¦ how do you set the display correctlyā¦hmm. i have been on this box for 5 WEEKS!!! Im right thereā¦ so close
