Official Tabby Discussion

Rooted.
Foothold part was where I was stuck for a loong time. Only suggestion for that is test what you got, locally, and read the docs! Once you get it, rest is a breeze.

If stuck anywhere, feel free to PM me.

The initial part is very tiring, I can only move forward after using a tool, other people can get manual.
The root part is step-by-step a security article.

This is a amazing box, thank you @egre55

hi i need help try l*i but i have more than 4 hours stagnant

i can open /e**/p**wd with the L. but can’t find the xl file :frowning:

Rooted, Really OSCP Like.

Rooted , A very nice VM .

Hints :

initial foothold → everything is in front of you , don’t ignore even a small thing
user → always remember from where we started
root - > #try_harder

Rooted - Noice one @egre55

Stuck on l** foothold; been here for ~3 hours.
I’ve pulled a bunch of files and even referenced some file locations from -common package file listing from external maintainer page.
_home and _base only seem to have some files but not all?
The slightest nudge would be appreciated.

Very cumbersome and humbling >:(
Beyond frustrating as I feel as though I’ve blown by it a hundred times by now.

Also I get a kick out of some of the docs. ā€œUsers are defined in ā€¦ā€ Uh really?
And the tc service file has different paths? what?

Someone crashed the Webserver, again…

only root part is easy.

Another box with a ridiculous ctf part… why do i even bother anymore

? i need some tips

So I think I know what file im looking for (c***/*-.xml), I think I know how to get there, im using the default sensitive list.

Do I need to put some …/ infront or am I not correct with where im going.

Definitely the hardest part of this box was guessing the initial foothold piece. The rest was pretty smooth. PM if you need help

A nudge or five for foothold would be greatly appreciated in pm.

same

The Biggest push/hint i could give you is.

on Your local kali Box

sudo apt-get install …

find / -iname …

???

Profit

Guys, please stop resetting the box. It’s pointless…

Well, like a lot of other people on here I’m having trouble finding a certain file for the initial foothold. I’ve tried installing t****t locally as a few people have suggested and the file I am looking for is where it should be (two places in fact) but using the same path(s) on Tabby gives me nothing.

I’m a little bit stuck now.

Been trying to locate -.x* for many days now - please DM me with a small nudge
