Hi everyone,

I have a problem with the question of the ‘Shells & Payloads’ module in the ‘Infiltrating Windows’ section. When I put the ‘run’ command in msfconsole to run the exploit, I get the following error:

I don’t know what it could be, I have configured the LHOST, RHOSTS and LPORT parameters.

Check the IP is right or maybe the port is being used.
I’d recommand to use the NIC (Network Interface Card) name set LHOST tun0
To check if the port is open use netstat and grep.

Like b2k stated, you’re not specifying the IT or tunnel. I can see that it tried the 10.10.15.236:4444, and then the wildcard 0.0.0.0:4444. You might have a lingering bin on port 4444 leftover from a different attempt. Run one of these:

sudo ss -lptn 'sport = :4444'
sudo netstat -nlp | grep :4444
sudo lsof -n -i :4444 | grep LISTEN
